UVA Imaging is growing and seeking an MRI tech assistant for PRN positions at our outpatient imaging centers. Evening and weekends may be required. We are looking for a people who is ready to grow and advance their skills. We offer paid holidays, no weekends or nights, and advanced imaging training to the right candidate.

Located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Charlottesville, Virginia. We are seeking skilled and genuine care givers who are committed to positively contributing to the patients overall experience which we consistently rank in the National Top Ten percentile.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director and/or the Technologist, the Technologist Assistant:

Is responsible for supporting the radiology staff and providing the first clinical point of contact for patients.
Facilitates the patient flow to minimize patient wait times and maximize the utilization of resources.
Demonstrates competence with all imaging safety compliance initiatives.
Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

One year as a trained Phlebotomist and/or Medical Assistant experience preferred.

EDUCATION:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Ability to work efficiently as an extension of certified/registered staff or licensed independent practitioner.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology.
Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
