Heartland Imaging is currently seeking a Diagnostic Technologist for a Full-Time Flex position at our outpatient imaging center located in Louisville, KY on Shelbyville Road Tuesday-Friday 10:30am-9pm. This position qualifies for a $5 shift differential . As part of this role, you will gain hands-on experience in MR procedures and receive the training necessary to become board-eligible for the MR Registry . Within 12 months, you will have the opportunity to sit for the MR registry exam, which will further enhance your credentials and open up new career opportunities in this specialized field. JOB SUMMARY :
Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the Diagnostic Imaging technologist:
- Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.
- Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Radiography Technologist
EDUCATION:
- Must have a minimum Associate's Degree in Radiology and be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Skill in operation of radiographic equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
- Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
