Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift)
Location: Winchester, VA

Shift Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (Nights)
Weekend Hours: Every other Weekend
Call Requirements: Yes, as needed based on facility needs

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team on the night shift in Winchester, VA. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, including experience with adult, emergency, surgical, rehab, and imaging patients. You will be the sole Respiratory Therapist on shift and will provide essential respiratory care, including support for intubations with training provided. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring high-quality patient care in various departments, including heart & vascular, ortho, and emergency.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct respiratory care to adult patients across various departments, including emergency, surgical, rehab, imaging, heart & vascular, and ortho.
Assist with intubations and airway management as the backup RT on shift (training provided).
Monitor and assess patient respiratory conditions, adjusting care plans as necessary.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records through the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Respond to emergency situations requiring respiratory therapy and support.
Participate in on-call duties as necessary, dependent on the needs of the facility.

Required Qualifications:

Licensing/Certifications:
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider (HCP)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification or EKG & Pharmacology Course
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- VA License
- Must obtain AHA certification before completing orientation
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
Additional Skills:
- Ability to work independently and effectively as the sole RT on night shifts
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate within a healthcare team

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with a broad range of patient types and care settings, including emergency and critical care.

Unit Information:

Number of Beds: 36 private patient rooms, 18 ED rooms
EMR: EPIC

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary: $29.40 - $36.75 per hour, depending on experience
Bonus and relocation package available
