Deliver comprehensive respiratory care in a specialized critical illness and rehabilitation setting, providing essential support to patients requiring intensive respiratory treatments. This role involves patient evaluation, development and recommendation of treatment plans, and the administration of ventilatory support both invasive and non-invasive. Responsibilities include patient transport within the facility as prescribed by medical staff and thorough education on treatments and equipment use.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer physician-prescribed respiratory treatments using a variety of ventilatory and aerosol devices.
Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning procedures with precision and care.
Conduct monitoring through oximetry, capnography, and routine review of chest x-rays.
Execute 12-Lead EKGs and basic arrhythmia recognition, along with pulmonary function tests.
Assist with specialized respiratory procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care.
Perform arterial punctures and monitor ventilation efficiency while following strict laboratory protocols.
Operate and maintain mechanical ventilation equipment and assist with equipment maintenance.
Maintain accurate documentation, communicate effectively with physicians, and ensure smooth patient care transitions.
Provide life-saving interventions including cardiopulmonary resuscitation guided by BLS and ACLS standards.

Qualifications/Experience:

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.
Proven experience in delivering complex respiratory therapy and patient transport.
Familiarity with advanced respiratory equipment and invasive procedures.
Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
