An experienced Occupational Therapist is sought for a contract assignment in North Hollywood, CA, supporting a dynamic hospital environment. This role involves providing patient-centered therapy services across various units including inpatient, outpatient, and rehab settings, with patient loads ranging from 9 to 13 daily depending on the area. Flexibility to float between units as needed is essential, ensuring comprehensive care delivery.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience (inpatient clinical experience may be considered)
Active California OT license and NBCOT certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience with orthopedic, post-surgical, neurological, and trauma patients preferred
Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Cerner Powerchart, is advantageous
Previous travel therapy experience is a plus; trauma experience preferred

Responsibilities & Duties:

Provide occupational therapy services tailored to patient needs in inpatient, outpatient, and rehab settings
Collaborate with rehab aides and assistant staff to facilitate therapy programs
Participate in unit-specific orientation and Cerner EMR training (1.5 days)
Adhere to scheduled shifts, which typically run 8 hours with varying start times; weekend and float duties based on requisition
Maintain professional dress code: maroon polo shirt, dark pants, closed-toed shoes; lab coat optional
Manage a diverse patient caseload including orthopedic, neurological, trauma, and medical-surgical diagnoses
