Occupational Therapist School Setting in Reading, PA

A contract opportunity is available for two Occupational Therapists to provide school-based services in Schnecksville, PA, within Carbon and Lehigh Counties. These positions entail delivering occupational therapy support to students with disabilities in special education settings, focusing on enhancing functional, motor, sensory, and adaptive skills that foster student independence and academic success. The role requires active participation in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and strict adherence to state and federal educational regulations.

Location:

One position in Carbon County, PA
One position in Lehigh County, PA

Schedule:

35 hours per week
Assignment runs from ASAP through approximately June 12, 2026, aligned with the school calendar

Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy services to students with disabilities in special education programs
Support development of students’ functional skills to promote independence within educational environments
Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to implement effective interventions
Participate actively in IEP meetings and development
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulations and organizational policies

Qualifications:

Active Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy license (required)
Experience working with students in special education settings
Proven experience in IEP development and implementation
Strong documentation and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and families
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficiency in electronic documentation systems and common technology tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)

Additional Information:

Candidates must provide proof of active PA OT licensure upon submission
