This outpatient Physical Therapist position is based in La Plata, Maryland, a welcoming Southern Maryland community known for its small-town charm, friendly neighborhoods, and convenient access to the Washington, DC metro area. You will work alongside an experienced team of rehabilitation professionals focused on collaboration, professional growth, and evidence-based practice. Treatment spaces are structured to allow one-on-one sessions, with access to therapeutic exercise equipment, modalities, and functional training areas to support a wide variety of patient needs.This is an evening shift position, ideal for candidates who prefer a later schedule or who value daytime flexibility. Typical hours may run from late afternoon through evening to accommodate after-work and after-school patients. The caseload is primarily orthopedic and musculoskeletal, with a mix of post-surgical patients, sports-related injuries, and general outpatient conditions. You may also see patients with neurologic or balance issues depending on referrals and your clinical interests.A typical day includes performing comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized plans of care, and providing one-on-one, hands-on treatment sessions. You will be responsible for documenting care and progress using the clinics EMR system in a timely and accurate manner. Patient volume and scheduling are designed to allow you to deliver high-quality care while maintaining appropriate productivity and outcomes.You will collaborate closely with referring physicians, advanced practice providers, and other rehabilitation team members to coordinate care and optimize patient results. There are opportunities to develop areas of specialization within the outpatient caseload based on your interests and expertise, such as sports performance, spine care, vestibular rehab, or post-operative rehabilitation.Evening shifts typically see a steady flow of motivated patients who appreciate after-work appointment availability. Patient ratios are structured to support individualized attention and continuity of care, with an emphasis on building strong therapeutic relationships and guiding patients through their full rehab journey.This role is a strong fit for a Physical Therapist who enjoys outpatient practice, values a supportive team and modern clinical environment, and wants to live and work in a community that offers both small-town comfort and easy access to big-city amenities.
