A contract opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-12 students throughout the 2026-2027 school year. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Wyoming (required)
- Previous experience working in a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with students, staff, and families
- Ability to serve a diverse K-12 caseload (approximately 25 students)
- Organizational skills to manage documentation and individualized plans
- Creative and adaptable approach to interventions and strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy interventions to students identified with needs
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and educational teams to implement student IEPs
- Assist in assessing student skills and progress, adapting activities to maximize achievement
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
- Educate teachers and parents regarding strategies and accommodations for student success
- Participate in team meetings, contributing input to support positive student outcomes
