Make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ communication and academic goals as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational environment near Antioch, CA. In this rewarding position, you’ll collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive speech and language services, ensuring each student receives individualized support tailored to their unique needs.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
Valid state SLP licensure, or eligibility to obtain
School-based experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical backgrounds are also considered
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, supporting diverse student populations

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders within a school setting
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and set measurable goals in collaboration with teachers and parents
Provide direct therapy services, both individual and small group, to students of varying ages and abilities
Maintain thorough documentation of evaluations, progress reports, and therapy sessions in compliance with school policies and legal requirements
Participate in IEP meetings, staff development activities, and parent conferences as needed
Serve as a resource to school staff regarding strategies for supporting students’ communication needs in the classroom
