Active Florida Occupational Therapist license issued by the Florida Department of Health
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
Compliance with all state and district background screening and fingerprinting requirements
School-based experience preferred
Typical responsibilities for this role include:
Conducting student evaluations and assessments to identify functional needs
Developing and implementing individualized education program (IEP) goals and therapy plans
Providing direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students
Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
