The practice serves a diverse patient population from the Bakersfield area, giving you the chance to make an impact in a community that blends urban amenities with a friendly, small-city feel. The clinic environment is fast-paced yet supportive, ideal for clinicians who enjoy staying busy, refining their manual skills, and building strong patient relationships.In this role, you will manage a full outpatient caseload with an expectation of approximately 1315 patient visits per day. The majority of cases are general orthopedics, including back pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, and post-operative patients recovering from common orthopedic procedures. You will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and progress patients through all phases of rehab toward their functional goals. A typical day will include a mix of new evaluations and follow-up treatments, documentation within an EMR system, patient and family education, and coordination of care with other healthcare providers as needed.Most patients are English-speaking, but you can expect to treat some Punjabi- and Spanish-speaking patients as well, offering a valuable opportunity to serve a culturally diverse community and to refine your communication skills using interpreters or language services when appropriate. The interdisciplinary team culture emphasizes collaboration, professionalism, and high-quality patient outcomes, allowing you to grow clinically while working side by side with other motivated rehabilitation professionals.This is a 13-week, full-time assignment with a schedule of 5 eight-hour day shifts each week, for an expected 40 hours. The role is well suited to a Physical Therapist who is comfortable in an outpatient orthopedic setting, interested in a busy and rewarding clinic environment, and looking to gain experience that can strengthen their resume and support future career goals.
