Job Title: Radiologic Technologist (RADT)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00Am to 4:30Pm

Pay Rate: $45 - $50/hr on 1099

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing radiographic equipment in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional standards. The incumbent ensures the delivery of quality patient care while maintaining compliance with radiation safety guidelines and facility regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Active and unrestricted California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) License.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Experience performing diagnostic radiographic procedures.
Knowledge of digital radiography systems and imaging software.
Familiarity with RIS (Radiology Information Systems) and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems).
Knowledge of radiation protection principles and ALARA standards.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff.
Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations as ordered by authorized healthcare providers.
Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
Verify patient identity and imaging orders before performing procedures.
Explain imaging procedures to patients and address questions or concerns.
Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety throughout the examination process.
Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.
Utilize digital imaging systems, RIS, and PACS for image acquisition, storage, and retrieval.
Evaluate radiographic images for diagnostic quality and repeat examinations when necessary.
Follow established radiation safety procedures and ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
Use protective devices and shielding techniques when appropriate.
Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs.
Assist physicians and healthcare providers during special imaging procedures.
Maintain accurate and complete patient records and imaging documentation.
Ensure timely transmission and archiving of diagnostic images.
Perform routine equipment inspections and report malfunctions promptly.
Coordinate equipment maintenance and service requests as needed.
Maintain adequate inventory levels of imaging supplies and report shortages.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental audits.
Comply with all facility policies, infection control procedures, and safety standards.
Attend required staff meetings, orientation programs, and training sessions.
Maintain professional competency through continuing education and certification requirements.
Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and teamwork in all interactions.
