Occupational Therapist School Setting in Bronx, NY

This full-time, onsite role offers the chance to help children and young adults ages 5–21 achieve their academic, developmental, and functional goals in a collaborative educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required
Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or eligibility to obtain
Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy strongly preferred
Knowledge of current best practices and compliance with IEPs and state regulations
Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough evaluations of students’ functional and developmental abilities
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on students’ IEPs and needs
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to foster student participation and independence in school routines
Provide direct therapy, consultation, and intervention, adapting materials and environments to maximize access and outcomes
Document progress, maintain records in compliance with school and district policies, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
Educate staff and families on strategies to support student success in the classroom and beyond

Compensation for this position ranges from $31.70 to $61.70. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
