Make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting students across a range of ages and needs in a fulfilling, full-time contract opportunity. Based in the beautiful region near Anderson and Red Bluff, California, this role is perfect for those passionate about helping school-aged children thrive in their communication skills.

This position spans the entire school year, with working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (aligned with the student schedule), totaling 35 hours per week. As an SLPA, you’ll collaborate closely with a virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), providing onsite support for diverse caseloads, including TK-4 students with extensive needs, TK-8 regional Deaf/Hard of Hearing children, State Preschoolers, and students from TK-8 Elementary levels. The role is itinerant, allowing you to work with multiple programs and age groups, making each day unique and rewarding.

Qualifications:

Hold a valid SLPA licensure in California
Previous experience in school settings preferred (new grads considered)
Ability to work independently and under virtual supervision
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable working with students with varying communication needs, including extensive and Deaf/Hard of Hearing populations

Responsibilities:

Carry out treatment plans developed by supervising SLP
Deliver targeted speech-language activities to individuals and small groups
Track and document student progress
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to facilitate student success
Travel between schools as needed (itinerant role)
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all regulations
