Full-Time Evening Shift | Earn While You Learn
Are you already gaining MRI experience but have not been given the opportunity to earn your MRI credential?
You may be an experienced Radiologic Technologist who helps cover MRI at a hospital, works alongside registered MRI technologists, or has begun learning the modality-but without a clear pathway to become fully credentialed.
At Outpatient Diagnostic Center of Alabama, we want to help the right technologist take that next step.
We are seeking a motivated ARRT-registered Radiologic Technologist for a paid, full-time MRI training opportunity designed to prepare you for the ARRT MRI registry and a permanent position with our MRI team.
This is more than an open position. It is an opportunity to turn the MRI experience you have already gained into a long-term career.
How the Training Pathway Works
The selected technologist will initially train full-time during daytime hours alongside experienced, credentialed MRI technologists at our Huntsville and Madison locations.
During this training period, you will receive hands-on experience and guidance as you:
- Strengthen your MRI knowledge and scanning skills
- Complete required clinical competencies
- Develop confidence with MRI safety and patient screening
- Gain experience performing a variety of outpatient MRI examinations
- Prepare to successfully complete the ARRT MRI registry
Once the MRI credential is obtained, you will transition into the position's permanent evening schedule:
Monday-Thursday
3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.
Alternating between our Huntsville and Madison locations
Because this position is being created to support our evening operations, candidates must be committed to transitioning to the evening schedule after completing the training and credentialing process.
Who We Are Looking For
This opportunity may be an excellent fit for you if you:
- Are currently registered with the ARRT in Radiography, ARRT(R)
- Have already gained some hands-on exposure to MRI in a hospital or clinical setting
- Have been assisting with or performing MRI examinations under the supervision of credentialed staff
- Want to earn your MRI registry but have not had access to a structured training opportunity
- Are committed to completing the ARRT MRI credential within the established training period
- Are comfortable working at both our Huntsville and Madison locations
- Are willing to train during daytime and/or evening hours before transitioning to the permanent evening schedule
- Are dependable, motivated, safety-focused, and eager to grow professionally
Previous MRI experience is strongly preferred; however, we are most interested in finding a technologist with the right foundation, work ethic, and commitment to becoming a successful MRI technologist.
Responsibilities
During training and after credentialing, responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Performing MRI examinations according to established protocols
- Completing thorough MRI safety screenings
