This Physical Therapist position is based in Gardendale, Alabama, a welcoming community just minutes north of Birmingham. The nearby greater Birmingham region features popular sports venues, museums, music events, and breweries, making it easy to enjoy time outside of work.The clinic is a modern outpatient physical therapy center focused on musculoskeletal and orthopedic rehabilitation, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and measurable patient outcomes. Providers benefit from a well-equipped gym space, private treatment areas, and access to contemporary therapeutic equipment to support manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional training. The environment is collegial and team-oriented, with physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and support staff working together to streamline patient flow and ensure a positive experience from check-in through discharge.As a Physical Therapist in this setting, you will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of conditions, including post-operative orthopedic diagnoses, sprains and strains, chronic joint and spine pain, work-related injuries, and sports-related issues. A typical day includes performing comprehensive evaluations, developing and updating individualized plans of care, providing one-on-one treatment sessions, documenting in the EMR, and communicating progress with patients and, when appropriate, referring providers. Patient volumes are structured to allow for focused, hands-on care while maintaining an efficient schedule; caseloads generally include a mix of adult and adolescent patients with opportunities to develop areas of clinical interest, such as sports performance or spine care.The schedule is designed to accommodate patient needs with daytime and some extended hours, often aligned with the clinics early morning and evening availability. This provides flexibility in establishing a routine that supports both patient access and work-life balance. You will practice in an environment that encourages clinical growth, supports continuing education, and values collaboration, helping you refine your skills and build your resume with strong outpatient experience in a respected, community-centered setting.
