What You’ll Do

Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders
Support patients through ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
Assess patient progress; communicate with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatment plans accordingly
Document all clinical and regulatory information accurately in electronic health records
Collaborate with healthcare team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and discharge planning
Support patient and caregiver education on therapy processes and progress
Support and supervise students, if applicable, under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist

What You Need

Valid State Licensure or Registration as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
Prior experience in long-term care or similar clinical settings preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adhere to NBCOT / AOTA practice acts and ethical standards
