Occupational TherapistFor fastest results to be considered for this opportunity, please email your resume to mac@(Click Apply Now to apply to this job)The Occupational Therapist is responsible for maintaining the standards of professional and ethical practice following the guidelines of the State of Texas Board of Examiners for Occupational Therapy. The OT delivers quality therapy services to patients by performing evaluations and developing individual treatment plans and goals to maximize functional outcomes. The OT actively participates in discharge planning, implements the treatment program, and reassesses treatment results. Services are delivered within the framework of an interdisciplinary team approach, including significant others and the patient. These services are delivered in compliance with our mission, ethical standards, and policies and procedures.The OT team provides services to: a 240+bed in-patient acute setting, a 19 bed in-patient rehab setting, outpatient rehab for pediatrics and adults, long term acute care(LTAC) and critical access hospital(CAH) consisting of swing bed as well as outpatient services. To manage this variety of settings, the team consists of 12 full time therapists, and utilizes PRN staff to support needs of the census we manage. Specialty programs we currently provide include: lymphedema program, a developing hand therapy program, pediatric gross and fine motor gyms, indoor aquatic facility, and a low vision rehabilitation specialty program for which we have one of the only 35 nationally certified specialists in the USA. We actively promote a thorough mentorship program which is extensive lasting up to one year.
