Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with physical, cognitive, or developmental challenges.
- Provideboth inpatient and outpatient therapy services, tailoring interventions to each patient's needs.
- Utilize evidence-based therapy techniques to improve patients' functional abilities in daily activities.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques, equipment usage, and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress in accordance with regulatory and facility guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations and CHRISTUS Health standards.
Requirements:
- Education:Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure:Current Texas Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Certifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience:Prior experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Work Type:
- Part Time
- 8am - 5pm (Flexible start/stop times)
