Exciting Opportunity for a Temp - PTA - Long Term Care (LTC) (Days) in Potosi, MO!

Are you a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in long-term care settings? Key Responsibilities:

Support clinical interventions using evidence-based practices under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments to patients with physical functioning disorders.
Administer procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive devices.
Assess patient progress and collaborate with supervising therapists to adjust treatment plans accordingly, ensuring optimal outcomes.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members about treatment progress and barriers.
Participate in care conferences, review meetings, and ongoing training sessions to stay aligned with best practices.
Document all patient interactions and treatment details accurately in electronic health records, complying with regulatory standards.
Support supervision of students and contribute to discharge planning and summarization.
Adhere strictly to APTA, state practice acts, and ethical standards for professional conduct.

Required Skills:

Active State Licensure for PTA.
Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and clinical procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in documentation systems and regulatory compliance.

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Bilingual abilities to communicate with diverse patient populations.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Valid PTA license in Missouri.
Prior experience working in LTC environments is beneficial but not mandatory.
Recent clinical experience as a PTA.

Other Requirements:

Must have active licensure and maintain compliance with state regulations.
Be prepared to work day shifts in a long-term care facility setting.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks related to patient mobility and treatment.
Travel reimbursements and certifications provided as applicable.
