Join Our Team as a Temp Occupational Therapist (OT) – Rehab (Days) in Harrisonville, MO

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate OT to join our rehabilitation team on a day shift basis. What You’ll Do:
- Conduct comprehensive screenings and evaluations for patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders.
- Develop individualized care plans aligned with regulatory standards and clinical best practices.
- Administer rehabilitative treatments including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and support device utilization.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and modify services based on outcomes.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers to support recovery.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare team members, communicating patient progress and treatment strategies.
- Prepare detailed discharge summaries and maintain accurate electronic health records.
- Participate actively in meetings such as care conferences, utilization reviews, and training sessions.
- Supervise and support Occupational Therapy Assistants, rehab aides, or students where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with NBCOT, AOTA, state regulations, and ethical practice standards.
Required Skills:
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Strong knowledge of clinical assessment tools and evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Proficiency in documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and regulatory requirements.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with cognitive and ADL rehabilitation.
- Familiarity with assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
- Prior experience in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Active NBCOT certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to start employment on or after April 20, 2026.
- Willingness to obtain necessary DME or supplies as per clinical needs.
- Ability to work in Harrisonville, MO, and adhere to all facility safety and health protocols.
