Job Summary and Qualifications
Under the general supervision of the Director of Laboratory Services, the Medical Laboratory Technician provides clinical laboratory services to patients in accordance with accepted practices and Departmental and Hospital standards of care.
What you will do in this role:
- Assists in data collection for statistical surveys or other reports generated by the Department.
- Participates in performance improvement activities within the Department.
- 3Facilitates communication between the Laboratory and members of the Medical Staff and other Hospital Departments to enhance patientcare services.
- Notifies supervisor of any unusual requests to ensure maximum utilization of resources
- and maintenance of quality care.
- Performs computer functions as necessary according to job duties.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES.
What qualifications you will need:
Associate Degree in Medical Lab Technician or Clinical Lab Science
Previous experience in hospital clinical laboratory preferred.
ASCP or AMT certified as a MLT required
