Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Day Shift (36 hours/week), with potential overtime to cover staff absences; alternating weekends; no on-call responsibilities; shift times typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Additional evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required based on departmental needs.
Location: Great Bend, KS (Facility Address: 514 Cleveland Street)
Salary and Benefits:
- Hourly Range: $22.58 – $38.18, based on experience and qualifications
- Shift Differentials:
- Evening (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM): +$2.30/hr
- Night (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM): +$3.75/hr
- Weekend (Friday 7:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM): +$3.00/hr

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency bedside medication verifications using Epic systems.
- Independently manage patient care in critical care areas once clinical check-offs are completed.
- Administer all modes of respiratory therapy across various hospital departments, following established protocols.
- Assess patient needs and recommend appropriate therapies in accordance with active RT protocols.
- Act as a mentor and resource to students, new staff, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to develop and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Stay current with departmental procedures, evidence-based practices, and evolving technology.
Qualifications:
Required: - Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care or related field
- Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license from the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC
- Basic computer literacy
Preferred: - Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Respiratory Care or a related discipline
- Additional specialized respiratory therapy education or certifications
- Prior experience in clinical instruction or mentorship
- At least 6 months of experience in critical care settings
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Candidate Requirements:
- Covid-19 vaccination required or valid declination
