Job Summary and Qualifications
The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organsystemsand blood flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the Radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician.
What you will do in this role:
- You will compassionately assist and position patients.
- You will start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
- You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
- You will release patients with proper post procedure instructions.
- You will turn over and prepare the room using a septic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
- You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
- American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) registered.
- ARRT MR preferred upon hire or must become registry eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire and must complete registry within the 6 months following.
- BCLSrequiredwithin30 daysof start date.
- 2-3 years MRI experience preferred.
- On Callrequired and must have the ability to report to the facility within one hour of call back.
