This travel Speech-Language Pathologist role is based in Miami, Florida, a coastal city known for its sunny climate, world-class beaches, and rich cultural diversity. The position is located in a K-12 school environment serving a diverse student population and emphasizes collaboration, student-centered support, and data-informed practice.This is a full-time, approximately 35-hour-per-week school-year assignment that follows the local school schedule, with days aligned to standard school hours. The role is primarily evaluation-focused, with responsibilities including comprehensive speech and language assessments, re-evaluations, report writing, and participation in eligibility and IEP meetings. You will collaborate closely with teachers, school psychologists, and other related service providers, and may provide targeted therapy based on evaluation outcomes. The setting is used to working with travelers and contract professionals, offering clear processes, supportive teams, and access to appropriate assessment tools and documentation systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who enjoys diagnostic work and wants to build school-based experience in a dynamic, multicultural city.
Required Qualifications
Speech/Language Pathologist, School
Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
State License is Required to Start the Assignment
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics
Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
