Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (In-Home Care Specialist)

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be essential in delivering comprehensive respiratory assessments, managing advanced respiratory devices, and educating patients and their families on proper equipment use. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer and manage respiratory therapies, including ventilator management and oxygen therapy.
- Educate patients and caregivers on the operation and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot advanced respiratory devices, ensuring optimal functioning and safety.
- Adjust ventilator and therapy settings based on patient condition, in accordance with medical protocols.
- Document all clinical interactions accurately and maintain detailed records for compliance and continuity of care.
- Provide telephonic support to patients and caregivers as needed, offering guidance and troubleshooting assistance.
- Travel to patient homes within designated service areas, ensuring timely and consistent care delivery.
- Adhere to all safety standards and healthcare regulations to ensure patient and staff safety.
Qualifications & Requirements: - Valid licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse in Texas.
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for travel within service areas.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional clinical certifications preferred.
- Ability to lift and maneuver patient equipment weighing up to 65 pounds.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to educate and engage patients effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic health records.
- Flexibility to travel between patient homes and availability for on-call duties as required.
Preferred Experience & Skills: - Minimum of one year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy or home healthcare settings.
- Experience managing respiratory equipment such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and oxygen systems.
- A background in home healthcare, nursing, or relevant clinical practice.
