Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license valid for practice in Vermont.
- Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and work alongside teachers and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations to determine students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals, adapting interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, school staff, and families to promote students’ functional participation in educational activities.
- Maintain detailed records and contribute to progress reports and IEP meetings.
- Offer consultative services and strategies to support student access and engagement within the classroom.
- Support inclusion initiatives and provide staff training as needed to foster a supportive learning environment.
