What we’re looking for:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license for New Mexico, or eligibility to obtain.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly valued.
- Ability to successfully pass a Federal Background check.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with SLPs, PTs, and Special Education professionals.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and flexibility to adapt to school environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting occupational therapy interventions as directed by a supervising OT, tailored to students across PreK through 12th grade.
- Engaging collaboratively with a team including Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, and Special Education Teachers.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of student therapy plans.
- Documenting student progress and maintaining thorough records.
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing insight for student goals.
- Flexibly responding to the needs of a diverse student caseload and participating in ongoing professional development.
This role is available for an immediate start and is contracted through the end of the school year, with extended school year and renewal for the 2026-27 academic year available for the right fit.
