LOCATION: PrimarilyLancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PA
SCHEDULE: Full time (40 hours per week), Monday-Friday from 9:30am-6pm, up to 5 backup weekend on-call rotations per year at Suburban Outpatient Pavilion (SOP) and Lancaster General Hospital, up to 1 backup holiday on-call rotation every other year at Lancaster General Hospital, up to 2 holidays scheduled per year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Patient Care/Safety –
- Documents accurately and timely, according to department standards.
- Verify patient information upon arrival for scheduled appointments.
- Prepare patient for MRI exam; initial MRI safety screening, brief patient history for technologist, properly change for exam.
- Assist technologist prepare MRI room for exam.
- Assist technologist with patient positioning.
- Reports promptly unusual situations, reactions, effects or conditions related to patient care to the responsible person(s).
- Provides basic comfort, support and safety needs of patients.
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills when dealing with patients, family members and staff.
- Functions as a patient advocate by resolving patient/family concerns through appropriate actions.
- Demonstrate proper responses to emergencies.
- Environment Management –
- Completes cleaning tasks utilizing OSHA standards.
- Practices standard precautions while handling contaminated items.
- Maintains unit order and efficiency.
- Maintains appearance of patient care areas and public areas.
- Maintains safe work environment.
- Supply Management/Clerical –
- Stocks supplies to meet the needs of the department.
- Demonstrates an awareness of cost containment practices.
- Distributes supplies to appropriate areas according to department standards.
- Demonstrates computer skills necessary to perform department specific responsibilities.
- Answer telephones; which includes providing information, routing calls and/or taking messages.
- Schedule patients without appointments for various procedures.
- Performs basic clerical functions such as filing, sorting, and data entry.
- Greet, guide and direct incoming customers.
- Compliance/Regulatory
- Completes documentation for compliance and regulatory needs and/or release of orders.
- Retains knowledge and abides by all regulatory requirements pertaining to duties of position and overall operation of the Company (as applicable).
MINUMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· HS Diploma or GED
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Knowledge of EMR (Epic)
· One year of medical office or medical related environment that has provided exposure to medical dialogue and terminology.
· CPR certification within 30 days of hire
