Work location: Texas Health Arlington: 800 W. Randol Mill Road Arlington, Texas 76012
Work hours: Full-Time (36 Hours a week) Mid Shift from 3p-3a - 3/12 hour shifts per week
Department Highlights
- 50 bed ED which includes our vertical treatment area that is called the JET (joint evaluation and treatment).
- Level 3 trauma center
- Chest pain, CHF and stroke accredited through TJC and received a gold plus level (the highest level there is) for all 3 programs.
- Magnet facility
Here’s What You Need
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
- CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
- BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- ACLS – within 90 days required
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
- PALS - within 90 days of hire
- TNCC - within 12 months of hire
- ATCN - Advanced Trauma Care Nurse – within 12 months of hire
- 1 year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
- At least 1 year of ER or Critical Care experience preferred
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
