A 13-week travel assignment as a Surgical Technologist offers not just professional challenge, but significant career growth. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team and learn from a variety of workplace practices and leadership styles. Enhance your clinical skills across a broad spectrum of specialties and bring new expertise back to your resume—all while enjoying the rewards of a travel healthcare role.

Schedule/Hours:

Primarily 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (may start as early as 6:00 am based on surgery schedule)
On-call rotation: Approximately 1 night per two-week pay period and every 5th to 6th weekend
Holiday call rotation required

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
Surgical Technologist Certification preferred
State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter Training (must be completed prior to start)
American Heart Association BLS certification (current)
Experience in a range of specialties: General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OBGYN, Podiatry, Urology, Dental
Must reside within 30 minutes of facility when on-call

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency
Prepare, handle, and maintain surgical instruments and sterile fields
Support surgeons, RNs, and anesthesia staff
Facilitate pre- and post-operative processes for optimal patient outcomes
