This travel Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is based in Irmo, South Carolina, a welcoming, family-oriented community just outside the state capital. The assignment runs from 8/4 through 5/28/2027, providing a full academic-year-plus experience. You will work approximately 37.5 hours per week, with a typical day consisting of a 7.5-hour shift aligned with the school schedule. The position is structured across two schools, but you will not be expected to travel between schools on the same day, allowing you to maintain a consistent daily routine and focus on effective service delivery.Your primary responsibilities will include providing direct speech and language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 4550 students. You will conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapy to address a range of needs, including articulation, language, fluency, and social communication. You will be responsible for completing all required documentation, including evaluation reports, progress monitoring, and service logs, as well as writing and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).A key part of this role involves active participation in the schools special education processes. You will attend IEP meetings, collaborate with general education and special education teachers, and work closely with school psychologists, occupational therapists, and other related service providers. You will also handle valuations and subsequent paperwork in accordance with district policies and timelines, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.This assignment offers a valuable opportunity to deepen your experience in school-based speech-language pathology while contributing meaningful support to students, their families, and educational teams. Required Qualifications
Speech/Language Pathologist, School
Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
State License is Required to Start the Assignment
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics
Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
