This home health Occupational Therapist traveler role is based in the Solvang, California area, a distinctive Danish-inspired village nestled in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley. The regions strong agricultural and tourism base supports a welcoming, community-oriented atmosphere that many travelers find both relaxing and rejuvenating between shifts.In this position, you will provide Occupational Therapy services to patients in their homes throughout Solvang and nearby communities such as Buellton, Santa Ynez and Los Olivos, as well as other areas within the agencys service region. Typical caseloads include adult and geriatric patients recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or needing assistance with functional independence and home safety.Your day-to-day responsibilities may include conducting comprehensive evaluations in the home, developing individualized treatment plans, providing therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living, assessing home safety and recommending adaptive equipment, educating patients and caregivers, and coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team. You will travel between patient homes, manage your own schedule within agency guidelines, and ensure accurate and timely documentation in the designated EMR system.Assignments generally follow standard home health scheduling, with daytime hours and some flexibility based on patient needs and visit volumes. Patient volumes and visit frequencies are managed to support safe care, with typical home health productivity expectations tailored to the region and caseload mix. You will work closely with supportive clinical leaders and field staff who understand the unique needs of travelers and the demands of home-based care.This role offers the opportunity to strengthen your skills in autonomous practice, regional home health regulations and community-based rehabilitation, all while experiencing a unique and scenic part of California.
