Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in South Carolina
- Recent experience in an elementary school environment is preferred
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and other support service providers
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Knowledge of evidence-based speech and language therapy approaches for young learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of students’ communication abilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals tailored to each child’s needs
- Maintain clear, accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress
- Consult regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support student learning and generalization of skills
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
