This contract position offers the chance to work collaboratively with educators and families in a supportive school setting near Silver Spring, MD.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state (or eligibility)
Previous experience working with K–12 students in a school environment preferred
Skilled in assessments, development of individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic strategies
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and parents
Compassion, flexibility, and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
Ability to manage a varied caseload across different grade levels

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments of students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities
Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support each student’s success
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals with educational programs
Provide both direct and consultative occupational therapy services tailored to student needs
Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to documentation, and maintain accurate records
Educate school staff and families on strategies that support students in classroom and daily activities
