Sonographer
(Night shift availability is necessary.)
Please note that Ultrasound Technologists will rotate to all our locations including: Largo Hospital (main campus) and Largo West Hospital (Indian Rocks) as well as our free-standing ER locations: Clearwater Emergency and the Countryside Emergency.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Sonographer include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner
- Accurately perform sonogram examinations in a timely manner
- Be responsible for recording and processing ultrasound images
- Maintain statistical results for quality improvement
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, and/or test results
Qualifications
A two-year Allied Health degree or successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP-accredited program
Valid ARDMS certifications: AB preferred, RVT (Registered Vascular Tech) or OB/GYN may also be considered
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
1-3 years previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
Other skills needed: organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, clerical, basic computer, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, reading, comprehension of written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions
