Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) working within a supportive educational environment. This full-time position runs from late August through early June, offering the chance to work closely with K-12 students as part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to creating a positive impact on student development and daily functioning.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Connecticut COTA certification is required
Strong recent experience working in school settings
Thorough clinical expertise and comfort managing a varied K-12 caseload
Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy support services as prescribed by supervising therapists
Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt activities to promote student success
Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and communications
Participate in team meetings, contribute to goal planning, and assist with progress reporting
Utilize adaptive tools and techniques to encourage students' independence in school tasks

This is a full-time, contract-based role following the school calendar, with hours scheduled Monday through Friday, totaling 35 hours per week. You’ll engage directly with students and staff each day, conducting all interviews for this opportunity on site for an authentic introduction to your new environment.
