This contract, full-time opportunity runs Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., providing a consistent and rewarding work schedule. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license (NY)
- Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and related documentation
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Compassion, adaptability, and a passion for working with diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Deliver onsite occupational therapy sessions focused on enhancing functional skills for academic success
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other related service providers to implement effective interventions
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and provide input into goal setting and progress monitoring
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
