This 13-week outpatient Physical Therapist opportunity is located in South Plainfield, New Jersey, a welcoming suburban community known for its convenient location, strong sense of neighborhood pride, and easy access to major cities. The clinic values professional growth, evidence-based practice, and clear communication, creating a setting that is both structured and flexible enough to allow clinicians to work at the top of their license.As a Physical Therapist in this role, you will manage a general outpatient orthopedic caseload with some gait and balance cases and occasional neuro patients. A typical day involves treating a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgical rehab, and functional mobility impairments. You will be expected to handle 3 patients scheduled per hour, with a minimum expectation of 13 visits seen per day, while maintaining high standards of care and appropriate documentation. The environment is fast-paced but well-organized, designed to support efficiency without compromising patient outcomes.Your core responsibilities will include performing comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized plans of care, delivering therapeutic interventions, providing patient and family education, and coordinating with other members of the healthcare team. You will utilize evidence-based techniques and modalities to address pain, restore function, improve balance and gait, and promote safe, independent mobility. You will also be involved in re-assessments, progress evaluations, and discharge planning to ensure continuity and quality of care.The schedule is a full-time, 5x8 day shift arrangement, totaling approximately 40 hours per week, with three evenings per week included in the schedule. This structure provides a consistent routine and predictable work hours. On-call responsibilities are not required for this position.
