This onsite Speech-Language Pathologist position is based in Vero Beach, Florida, a coastal community on the states scenic Treasure Coast. Vero Beach offers miles of uncrowded Atlantic beaches, warm weather, and a relaxed coastal lifestyle. The community is family-friendly, with a strong sense of local pride and a slower pace than many larger Florida cities, while still offering convenient access to the broader Treasure Coast region.In this role, you will provide onsite speech-language pathology services to students in a school-based setting, Monday through Friday, for approximately 37.5 hours per week. The position follows a traditional school-year schedule aligned with district operations. You will work as part of a collaborative educational team dedicated to helping students access their curriculum and achieve their communication goals.Typical responsibilities include evaluating students for speech and language needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing both individual and small-group therapy. You will participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, contribute to goal writing, and maintain detailed documentation of services and student progress. The caseload may include a range of communication needs, such as articulation and phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, fluency disorders, and social communication challenges.You can expect to collaborate closely with general and special education teachers, school psychologists, occupational and physical therapists, and other related service providers. Consultation with staff and families to support carryover of skills into the classroom and home settings will be an important part of your day-to-day work. Required Qualifications
Speech/Language Pathologist, School
Masters or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology
State Certification and / or Licensure is Required to Start the Assignment
Preferred Qualifications
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members. Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state Regulations.
