Working closely with children ages 2 to 18—primarily with mild to moderate needs and a focus on high-functioning autism—you’ll deliver meaningful, individualized care. Each child is seen one at a time, allowing for focused, personalized therapy sessions.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Florida Occupational Therapy license
- Active Medicaid provider number
- Background in pediatric care, especially in outpatient or school-based settings
- Familiarity with mild to moderate developmental and learning delays, including autism spectrum disorder
- Experience addressing pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading, and writing challenges
- Well-versed in assessment, evaluation, and development of therapy plans
- Ability to participate in IEP meetings as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations for assigned students
- Provide direct, individualized occupational therapy to children ages 2–18
- Address a range of needs: social participation, language development, reading and writing support, and life skills
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and families to support IEP goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
